It's Friday!! I decided to book a flight out of NY at 6am so I could get home to Isla Rose and Jackson first thing Friday morning....Soooo that means we left our hotel this morning at 3am!!!! This is going to be interesting. I hope I can get some sleep on the flight home and that I'm not totally exhausted when I get back!

Easter is on Sunday so I thought it would be fun to pull a post from the archives. This was my tablescape for Easter last year and I'm hoping this inspires some of you and gives you all ideas if you're hosting family at your home this weekend.

Entreating Tips:

  1. Add flowers!! Run to your local wholesale flower shop or even just to the grocery store and pick up some tulips and greenery to display. It doesn't have to be anything fancy but having fresh blooms on the table goes a long way and instantly elevates your table!! Costco is also a great place for flowers too!
  2. Layer! When you layer dishes it always creates a beautiful story. Here I've layered a pink plate on top of a white, with napkins, ribbon and a macaroon. Head to your local bakery and see if you can find a cute pastry to layer in on your plates. Also- you can always find super cute paper plates that you can layer as well if you don't want to use glass! See if theres a Paper Source store in your area! If you're in Utah Zurchers has a lot of cute and elevated paper options!
  3. Display assorted sweets. It's Easter and not only kids want some sugar!! Go to your local bakery and pick up some sugar cookies or sweets. Or you can make our family sugar cookie recipe here. These are always a hit!! I'm making them with my kids on Sunday morning!!!
  4. Light your favorite candle. Whenever guests combover I always burn my candles or flip the reeds in my diffusors so my home has a distinct scent. You want your guests to feel welcomed and there's nothing more welcoming than a home that smells fresh. Volcano candles are great, I also love English Pear and Freesia by Jo Malone is great too!
