Happy Wednesday everyone! Last year over the fourth I was in NYC with my mom and sister and while I had a blast and absolutely love New York, I felt like I missed out on a good old fashion Fourth of July. I remember scrolling through instagram that day and seeing all the fun photos from family festivities and BBQ's, which made me miss home but there was one photo in-particular that for some reason struck a cord with me. It was a photo of a homemade berry pie. I had never had a desire to bake a pie until that moment. For some reason I found myself extremely home sick, wishing I was in my kitchen baking a pie. I still can remember looking at that photo and thinking to myself, next year I'm totally baking a pie! So here it is, my first ever home baked pie (that surprisingly was not as difficult as I thought it would be, promise!). Hopefully this will inspire you to bake a festive pie for your family this weekend!
