I just returned home from a family getaway to Lake Powell with my in-laws this past week. While at the lake, internet access was slim to none, just enough to sneak a few instagram photos, when I was able to find a lucky spot. When I was finally able to receive cell reception, a string of text messages from several days prior sent from my sisters and parents came flooding in, asking if everything was okay. I quickly called my dad, a little confused, he then informed me of a tragic accident that took place in Lake Powell while we were there.
