NYFW {recap}...

Posted by Rachel Parcell on

NYFW was a whirlwind. So busy and exhausting, yet so inspiring. The designers never cease to amaze me with their creativity, attention to detail and the unique story behind each collection. Some of my favorite shows included; Marissa Webb, Rebecca Minkoff, Vivienne Tam and Jenny Packham. Each of these collections had looks that came down the runway that I would love to get my hands on this very second! Unfortunately, we have to wait six months until we can shop the collections but on the bright side, the beauty and hair trends are something that can be re-created instantly. I know I'll be trying out each of the below hair looks that TRESemmé Stylists created to finish off each collection, head-to-toe. Each is unique and different but totally do-able!

Marissa Webb How To:

  1. Apply TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Foaming Mousse on damp hair, and rough-dry by flipping hair over and gently pulling at the roots for lift.
  2. Once dry, use a flat brush to lightly comb the hair
  3. Starting at the nape, take large horizontal section and mist with TRESemmé Thermal Creations Curl Activator Spray. Wrap hair loosely around the barrel of 1 1/4 inch and 1 inch curling irons, leaving ends out. Alternate between irons to create an irregular weave work your way to the top of the head
  4. Create a messy center part, and flat iron from the part to eye level
  5. Mattify hair with TRESemmé Fresh Start Renewal Dry Shampoo, then brush out to get a natural airy texture
  6. Spray the top with NEW TRESemmé Keratin Smooth Illuminating Shine Spray for a dual texture, that is both matte and shiny

  4. Lightly back-brush to create an airy texture and brush hair into a low ponytail, fastening with an elastic just below the nape
  5. Gently pull a few wisps of hair from the ponytail to frame face. Finish with TRESemmé 24 Hour Body Finishing Spray, if needed
