As a way to show support and recognize a fabulous fellow blogger, I'd like to introduce you to
Anna James of Fash Boulevard! Anna is a Style Columnist for Lauren Conrad & Giuliana Rancic's FabFitFun.
What made you want to start your blog?
Growing up on the East Coast, I often found myself restricted by the small town style that surrounded me. I had these fabulous dreams that I thought were too big to ever bother pursuing. After graduating from Auburn University with a degree in Visual Merchandising, I landed a dream job in Los Angeles. Unfortunately after a year of insanity, the job came crashing down unexpectedly and I suddenly found myself jobless and thousands of miles away from my friends and family only days before Christmas. Returning to the east coast wasn't an option, so I decided to launch Fash Boulevard as a way to document my journey from unemployed dreamer to aspiring author and accessory designer. In May all of the hard work paid off when Fash Boulevard caught the eye of Lauren Conrad. From this an amazing partnership began and doors started flying open. Sharing my ups and downs with my readers became priority number one. My goal is to help my readers find their unique style and achieve a truly fabulous wardrobe that will give them the confidence to chase their dreams, no matter how big they are, because at the end of the day... Anything is possible as long as you keep trying.
How would you describe your style?
Colorful and girly, with a lot of accessories!
Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
Ultimately the reason I started Fash Boulevard was to someday be able to design my own accessory line (handbags, shoes, and of course jewelry) as well as write a series of books. Hopefully I will be living that dream or at least a little closer to it five years from now. :) We are also in the very early stages of developing a scripted TV series, loosely based on my journey from Alabama college student to LA fashion blogger. It's still in early script development, but I'd love to see that come to fruition.
