A few days before Drew and I packed up and headed to Philadelphia, we decided to extend our trip a few days to explore some of the historical sights around the city. We stayed in Old City and it was so charming, It was exactly what I expected it to be.
We landed around midnight and didn't make it to our hotel until around 2:00 AM. We were both STARVING so we googled late night pizza places, found one that looked good and headed out. Typically I would be SO nervous walking around an unfamiliar city so late at night, but the fact that my big and tall husband who towers over everyone was holding my hand made me feel at little less paranoid. We headed down Walnut Street (side note: I award Old City with the most charming street names) the sidewalks were all a brick herringbone, the fall leaves were scattered along the ground and the buildings were quaint and very colonial looking (naturally). The scene felt like something I read out of a history book from elementary school.
Philly was good to us but we're excited to back home with our Dasher boy!
