Last August, before we sold our house to build again, Drew and I hosted a dinner party with our closest friends and family. We lived in that house for just a short time and loved every second, so we wanted to give it a proper farewell. The get-together was the perfect way to say goodbye to something into which we had put so much time and energy.
I wanted the table setting to reflect the elegance we had hoped to build within those walls, the vividness of the life we lived there, and the casual coziness that only exists in a place you can call home. I started with a neutral palette and added beautiful white dinner plates from Noritake. Next, I added pops of color with a fresh floral arrangement, bright napkins, and colorful Noritake Salad Plates. The lit candles added an element of warmth and love. As we sat around the table, we enjoyed good food and lots of laughter. Needless to say it was a wonderful night.
