Rug: Lulu & Georgia
Happy Monday everyone!! I hope you all had a great weekend.
Today I’m SOOOOOOO excited to finally tell you about something I’ve been working on for awhile now that has been scary but an absolute dream come true for me!!! In a few weeks I will be launching my own clothing line, Rachel Parcell.
BUT first before I tell you more about that, I want to talk about what happened with my jewelry line that I launched last February. Something many of you didn’t know was that my jewelry line was a ‘licensing deal’ which means I had limited control over design, production, delivery dates, and most business decisions because I was not the one funding Pink Peonies Collection. In short, I ended up having limited input on something I initially had hoped would be my own brand. I had never done anything like this before and I didn’t know the ins and outs of a licensing deal. I was very naive but it was a great learning experience and taught me a lot of lessons about creating a brand that I’m very grateful for. I honestly feel like that experience is what prepared me, and gave me the courage to create a brand on my own, rather than relying on others to fund and create something that wasn’t necessarily mine, but that just had my name on it.
This whole concept has been something I’ve always wanted to do, from the time I was a little girl, so I can’t believe it’s actually happening! I get butterflies every time I think about it. I’m not going to show you any of the designs quite yet, but you can expect lots of pink (shocker) feminine and classic silhouettes, and a line that completely represents me, which is why I decided to use my name for the brand.
You can see a few behind the scenes peeks on the Rachel Parcell Instagram. My spring collection will consist of skirts and dresses (and we even have a custom floral print)!!!
I’ll be posting lots more sneak peeks in the next few weeks leading up to the launch, so be sure to follow along on Instagram. I’ll also be doing a giveaway… a few of my readers will get to view the collection before anyone else and pick their favorite design to keep!
Thank you for all of your love and support throughout the years, I couldn’t do any of this without all of you!
