A few days before Drew and I packed up and headed to Philadelphia, we decided to extend our trip a few days to explore some of the historical sights around the city. We stayed in Old City and it was so charming, It was exactly what I expected it to be.

We landed around midnight and didn’t make it to our hotel until around  2:00 AM. We were both STARVING so we googled late night pizza places, found one that looked good and headed out. Typically I would be SO nervous walking around an unfamiliar city so late at night, but the fact that my big and tall husband who towers over everyone was holding my hand made me feel at little less paranoid. We headed down Walnut Street (side note: I award Old City with the most charming street names) the sidewalks were all a brick herringbone, the fall leaves were scattered along the ground and the buildings were quaint and very colonial looking (naturally). The scene felt like something I read out of a history book from elementary school.

Philly was good to us but we’re excited to back home with our Dasher boy!

  1. What a great city Philly is. I glad you and Drew made time to explore and I hope have some of their great foods they are known for. I see the weather was great for walking around. Beautiful pictures and outfit.

Hope you have a great day.

  2. Phili looks amazing, I would love to go and visit it! You remind me of me when I go to unknown cities I am scared at night but our husbands are so comforting … :)
Can’t wait to see your lounge and how it all turned out :) excited!
I love your style so much you really are the best blogger out there, down to earth and never showing off, when rS asked me one day what type of blogger I wanted to be, I said I want to be Pink Peonies :)

  3. So glad you enjoyed Philly! I hope you were able to walk around the Rittenhouse square area. It’s so nice and I feel like you would have enjoyed the shopping.

    I love your shirt here!

  4. Gorgeous fall look that is perfect for exploring such a beautiful city! That sweater looks so cozy and has such great detail. The cream and black look with red lips is classic chic! Glad to hear you & Drew had a fun fall get away.

  5. So simple and classy! I get so caught up layering away sometime that I forget how a simple cozy sweater and fabulous boots are just as chic! Lovely! xo

  6. It was fun to know you were in our city :) Love the look always chic. When my husband and I stayed in the city one night for a get away I actually took my photos in the same location. So quaint right? Hope you had a nice trip and a safe flight home. Best!

  7. Such a cute exploring outfit! I totally agree about being out in the middle of the night especially in an unfamiliar area. I’ve never been to Philly but it sounds pretty!
